Beginning Our Journey from Separation to Togetherness

Sep 30, 2020

“All the powers in the universe are already ours. It is we who have put our hands over our eyes.”

 —Frederic W. H. Myers

Maybe you’re not aware, but at this exact moment, you are living a default life. The repetitive acceptance and rejection of others’ ideas, beliefs, behaviors, and so on have set your resonance on default, just like in a computer program. The problem here is that, on default, we’ll keep running in circles and repeating the same old stories that bring about the same resonance and recreate more of the same in the absence of new information.

That we’ve collectively relived, on repeat, the same old stories for generations explains why we live in so much separation today and why we can’t find a viable solution. Yes, we all may have the best intentions in mind. Still, nothing will work unless we first change the source of the separation, we’re resonating with!

The world we live in today, inside and outside, reflects that we are resonating with parts instead of the whole.

From the continuous resonance between the inside and the outside, our reality is created. In the same way that our cell phones send and receive signals in the form of frequencies, our bodies are energy resonators that continually receive and transmit signals. The information we’ve integrated from the outside in the shape of different parts—family, gender, religion, culture, and so on—has become our inside and our default inner program, starting when we came into the world and increasing through our walk through life. This automatic way of thinking filters out and “separates” all information that differs from what has been programmed. In this way, we begin to send separation out to the world individually and collectively.

Let’s work with an example. Say Paul’s inner program resonates with white, Christian, conservative, capitalist, and Billy’s with black, Muslim, liberal, socialist. From a resonance perspective, these programs will be mutually exclusive.

To reach a common ground, Paul and Billy would need to transcend the resonance with the parts and bring a broader resonance that can interconnect them, rather than separate them.

We are more than the limited parts that our limited perceptions make us believe we are. We are infinite, interconnected energy beings, and we can resonate with unlimited possibilities if we choose to do so. Since the beginning of time, this way of perceiving ourselves and the world as parts has been our default. Still, while many ancient philosophies and indigenous cultures worldwide live this truth, our modern religious and cultural and social structures have drawn us away from resonating with the whole and with our holistic perspective. Today, quantum science has become an ally that proves that, if we choose to resonate with energy, we can resonate with the whole. That’s why it’s crucial that our effort as leaders focus on a new perspective based on what we all have in common to reach new solutions that benefit us all.

According to Werner Erhard, “Most of our notions about the world come from a set of assumptions which we take for granted, and which, for the most part, we don’t examine, or question … They are so much a part of who we are that it is difficult to separate ourselves from them enough to be able to talk about them. We do not think these assumptions—we think from them.”

Wouldn’t it be great if we could be conscious of these assumptions?

We’re not aware of them because most of us live on autopilot and need training to be conscious. But in reality, living consciously, once we return to it, doesn’t demand additional work on our part. You’re simply conscious. And from this place, you can make much better and more conscious choices. This is our natural state once we can access it.

I’ll illustrate this with another example. Imagine for a moment a diamond, the most beautiful gem you’ve ever seen. Now visualize an unending row of garbage trucks unloading, one by one, each piece of debris they carry and piling them on top of this beautiful crystal. The diamond is still there; we don’t realize this because of the mountain of refuse lying in its place. But the diamond remains exactly as it was.

The diamond represents the whole, and the garbage the parts. Imagine if we dedicated every day to sweeping away the parts integrated from others and recovering our “whole” unique brilliance.

To open yourself to a new resonance and begin resonating with the whole, I invite you to become aware of the information you’re resonating with first. Here are some questions you can ask yourself when you receive outside information to cleanse your perceptual lenses and begin resonating with the whole: Is this information authentic for me? Is this information helping me resonate with the whole?

Another practice that can help you recognize your perceptual patterns is sitting still with your eyes closed for five minutes every day, merely observing your thoughts. You will see tons of thoughts coming your way. The idea is only to observe them for five minutes and breathe in your authentic thoughts—those that connect you with the whole—and exhale your inauthentic ones.

In many Eastern philosophies, it’s said that we must unlearn in order to learn. The mind tends to repeat patterns; thus, it rejects any new information. If we can unlearn our divided inner parts, we’ll be able to accept additional information and, eventually, reconfigure our pattern of reality to become whole.

Imagine if we all cleaned our separative perceptual lenses and trained ourselves to be whole. Our reality would be totally different, and unity would be the new language of the world.

A finite universe can only embody finite information. By liberating ourselves from identifying with the parts—our limited perspectives integrated from others—and cultivating a whole-oriented mindset consciously, we could be opening ourselves to new resonance. In this way, we can move away from our previous limits and pave the way toward a new more promising, inclusive perspective, where lasting well-being and peace could be possible. Now it is up to each of you to do your job and to live as the real infinite energy beings we all are.
