Be Transparent: Expand Your Options by Clearing Away Your Biases

Recently, I decided to have a mindful experience with my quartz crystal. I just wanted to become aware of all the information out there that my unconscious was exposed to without my awareness. It just so happened that, at the time, I was traveling from Santa Barbara, CA, to San Francisco.

During my Uber ride to the airport, the radio played in the background, like a low whisper accompanying me on my way. I was able to listen to the radio and caught a variety of programs, from political to entertainment—along with, of course, the particular opinions and points of view of different moderators. I noticed how, from anger to contentment, the tones in their voices changed with their comments. Then, as I traveled from the ticketing desk through the security check and to the waiting area at the gate, I was exposed to a variety of conversations that ranged from complaining to telling stories to passing judgments. I decided to go to the bookstore while I waited. Wall-to-wall shelves were lined with books, magazines, and various other media sources expressing different ideas and points of view. I saw a woman in the fashion magazine section and some men browsing car and science magazines. Me? I was browsing inside a book of quotes looking for those that I resonated with most.

Obviously, we are all biased. In our modern world, where we are exposed to so much information, it’s difficult not to be. We are continually attracted to information we resonate with and rejecting all that is not part of the configuration of our inner disk drive. It was incredible how much information I was exposed to on my journey from my house to the airplane in just two hours.

Now think about all the information that you have been exposed to and that is now codified in your unconscious program without your awareness. If your life is the result of what you are resonating with 24-7, imagine: What situations, behaviors, emotions, and beliefs are you attracting into your reality right now?

But what if you took control of your own programming? What if you decided to choose transparency instead of false information? By false information, I am referring to all the information you have received without your complete consent and that is not authentic to you. Have you ever wondered how your life would be if you had the opportunity to live in and react to this world guided by your own authentic, transparent voice without all the biases?

I have asked this question myself. What I hear loudly inside of me is this: I would be free to be my own self, to hear my own voice. Since my inner transparent voice is unbiased, it would be free of judgment. This would lead to respect, instead of fights. Since I would be guided by my own voice, I would be able to develop all the aptitudes and hobbies and aims that I am authentically good at and interested in, instead of adapting my story to the stories accepted by others that don’t resonate with me. I would be able to resonate with a more expansive reality—able to see and to grasp more possibilities and opportunities—rather than being limited to living out only those options offered by the inner programming learned from others.

I personally believe that I have been quite limited by many, many sources—my family, my gender, my culture, my religion, to name just a few. All this limiting information that did not resonate with my crystalline self but resided within my unconscious brought much suffering into my life.

Crystals helped me to reconnect to my transparent side. This literally changed my world for the better. My work with crystals opened many possibilities, among them winning the first prize at Hay House’s Writer’s Workshop 2017 and a publishing contract with this prestigious publisher.
